Although this picture is from my files, the scene is the same in downtown Kennesaw today as this weekend they are 'reenacting' the battle of Kennesaw Mountain. From my residence I clearly hear the boom of the cannons and rifle fire. I am sure that it sounds just like it did 143 years ago.I wasn't going to put up any flag today as the day started out dreary and overcase after 3 days of thunder storms, but around 1:30 I heard the cannons and decided to put up the Confederate Naval Ensign for the rest of the day and for tomorrow.
